蘭嶼烏心石

木蘭科
蘭嶼、綠島，日本、琉球
為常綠喬木，樹高可達20至30m，樹皮有斑紋，枝條上留有環狀的托葉遺痕，葉厚革質，先端圓鈍或驟凸到漸尖，長寬比率為2:1，通常先長葉芽再開花，花後留下一節葉芽痕跡。佛焰苞被毛，花開後掉落。花被片9-13，乳黃色。雄蕊多數；心皮多數。心皮多數，具總梗。雄蕊早落。花謝後，心皮增大，發育成蓇葖果。
低海拔山區常見，產地不侷限於蘭嶼地區。 種植為庭園觀賞植物。
