板岩

板岩


特徵
是從泥岩或頁岩輕度變質而來，板岩中的礦物顆粒非常細。顏色呈黑色或灰黑色，在陽光照射下劈理面會閃閃發亮。外觀經常呈板狀平面，劈理面寬約數公分，板面長約數公尺。
分佈
中央山脈

野外觀察
分佈在中央山脈，在花東海岸礫灘上可發現磨成礫石狀的板岩。


 

礫灘(花蓮)


人們常用來蓋石板屋或作石棺的材料。
